Michel Petrucciani Trio Live in concert

Petrucciani Trio, it says "I just say hello" onscreen but it sounds like Giant Steps to me. Steve Ellington is on drums.

It's a tune he wrote called I Just Way Hello, obviously based on Giant Steps (up a half step?). He recorded it on the album Estate, and wrote it in 1981.

The name of this tune is "Giant Steps" by John Coltrane. A great piece of music.  I don't understand how they failed to mention this! But nonetheless, "Mike P" is among the greatest of the greats.,, "was" that is, he passed away somewhat recently, only 36 or 7 years old. Amazing pianist. He was so tiny he often posed sitting on someone's lap, such as another musician in the group.
