When we are in doubt, God will never fail to give light when we have no other plan than to please him and to act in love for him.

This is indeed a really powerful statement of commitment. It is actually not a song by Chris Tomlin so needs to be renamed. It is an old hymn sung by Chris Tomlin in a slightly new way. The writer is Frances R Havergal (1836-79) but it is really great that worship leaders are putting a modern twist on these old hymns as more churches leave them out of worship in an attempt to be contemporary. The truth and passion in a lot of those old hymns is far deeper than many choruses & songs today.
