Overeating: A Candid Conversation

Janie is my my step-mother. (Okay, so technically she's my ex-stepmom. She was married to my dad when I was growing up and they've long since divorced, but she's family, and one of my very favorite people on the planet.) Anyhoo, Janie lives in Austin, but regularly visits me in Seattle. On a recent visit, heard Geneen Roth speak about her book, Women Food and God. Afterward, Janie asked me if I would make a Verity Mom video about overeating--a subject wrought with taboo. In honor of Mother's Day, here is our very candid conversation about a very difficult subject.
