  • @NobleSittingBull I never studied Satriani or Steve Vai so much, because I already knew of Page, Beck, Clapton, Hendrix and so many more; but there are two songs (Might as Well be on Mars & Feed My Frankenstein) on an Alice Cooper Album (Hey Stoopid!), and these two guys, along with Slash, WOW!!! A very sad song and the rockingest song back-to-back is great. I'm gonna have to start a "Guitar Greats" at my channel sometime. YouTube is blocked from showing "Feed My Frankenstein" (Studio Version).

  • @EagleMedieval By the way I like more Steve Vai's teacher - Joe Satriani and especially his "Summer Song" and "Surfing with the Alien". Satriani's mentor, according his own words, is Jimi Hendrix. Mine too. Both guitarists Satriani and Vai were several times here in Sofia. I visited about 10 years ago one of Satriani's concerts and the show was great!

  • @EagleMedieval Jimmy, it's not necessary to read that it is Steve Vai cover, because you can hear it. It is obvious that he plays with with "Ibanez" not only because of the spcific sound, but also because he plays some pasages by using so called "Floyd Rose Tremolo" device which is part of almost all "Ibanez" guitars. And "Gibbson Les Paul" doesn't have this device. Look at Google about "Floyd Rose Tremolo".

  • I just realized I'm not even done yet:

5). I met, and actually shook your hand at the Architekt in Butler, New Jersey on the night of June 4, almost immediately after the very end of the show!

6). I only just now realized that you may very well not have any idea that was actually me.

7). I was wearing a white shirt, a little light blue, with only one word: Carolina.

8). Well, at least that says it all, I mean you were backing up Ali that night , of course. d:) Haha! -AND- Incredible!

  • Lol, what an absolutely hlarious meeting we have finally seen here:

1). Actually I only very recently realized that the video says "Steve Vai Cover".

2.) Actually Ziv may showing the Les Paul only because he can! (Actually, I was kinda wondering myself how Ziv could possibly be using a bar like Jeff Beck on a Les Paul myself.)

3). Actually I was always told that, in a courtroom, "Ignorance of the Law is no excuse."

4). I'm about to use up all my space here, so I got no choice but skip bail.

  • Ziv, this is incredibleeee! xo Ali

  • Oh, I'm sorry! I just now realized that the publisher is Ziv Shalev, the player. My friend Jimmy, account "EagleMedieval", sent me this link and I was thinking that he was publishished it. That's why I was talking with him in my postings.

  • Thumbs up! All stars!

By the way his family name Shalev is it Bulgarian or Russian? I have frends here, in Sofia with the same family names.

  • Very nice, professional playing!

Jimmy, you probably have to change the picture of the video. As I'm hearing he is performing this cover with "Ibanez" guitar. Streve Vai also plays only with "Ibanez" with a handle. It is called "Steve Vai signature Ibanez".

Look at my both videos. I'm playing there with "Ibanez", RG 550, DX model.

In this picture he plays with "Gibbson Les Paul", which is used by John Fogerty, Aerosmith - all guitars, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore, Slash, Zack Wilde etc.

  • Kickass Steve Vai cover!
