from the album Kearney Barton
Wheedle's Groove are a Seattle supergroup composed from Pastor Pat Wright, The Total Experience Gospel Choir, and a host of other acts from the city's soul, funk and gospel scene. The album's title is derived from the eponymous producer who engineered some of the original tracks recorded here, though he's probably best known for his work with The Sonics and The Wailers among others. In addition to a host of self-penned grooves, the album boasts some beautifully recorded but highly unusual covers: there's a great version of The Stone Roses' 'Fools Gold' and an even less likely take on 'Jesus Christ Pose', originally by fellow Seattlites Soundgarden.
