I like how ryan mallet opted out of the wolverines and is now behind Brady on the pats. What a waste of great talent.

Just to think, we would have had him if Dick Rod wouldn't have coached.

Keep dreaming!

@GoongalaGoongala Rich Rod didn't fail at developing talent offensively, just defensively because of terrible defensive coaching from the ground up. Honestly, our biggest flaw with the defense was the linebacker play. It was horrible. Our front 3 (or 4) was fine and our DBs would have been ok if only our linebackers could stop the run or get pressure on the quarterback. Unfortunately, they were always out of position, even before the play began.
D-Rob will struggle next year.... watch.

@GoongalaGoongala oh i agree, but pro style system with Hoke vs. Denard's skill set? can he adapt?
-
@lonewarrior36j I wouldn't say he can't throw. He has accuracy issues, but he made a marked improvement passing wise from his freshman to sophmore years and I'd expect the same now coming into his Junior year especially since Hoke has put together a great staff who will not doubt actually help develope the talent unlike RichRod's group who failed at developing players.IMO I think Gardner is better suited for Hoke's system but Robinson has the inangibles you can't teach, which is why he'll start.

Since 1969 (Bo's first year) Michigan has had an impressive amount of quality Quarterbacks.
Don Moorehead, Tom Slade, Dennis Franklin, RICK LEACH, John Wangler, Steve Smith, Jim Harbaugh, (Demitrious Brown sucked) Michael Taylor, Elvis Grbac, Todd Collins, Scott Driesbach, Brian Griese, Tom Brady, Drew Henson, John Navarre, Chad Henne, (Nick Sheridan and Steve Threet sucked and Tate Forcier was a fuck up)and now Denard Robinson and Devan Gardner who are both quality QBs and have bright futures.

Mallet could of been the next great Michigan quarterback, but it just was not meant to be. He made the right decision to leave IMO. Rich Rod nearly decimated the program during his brief but memorable (not in a good way) tenure. I do belive thoguh, had Carr stayed or his replacement been within the Michigan sphere, Mallet would of had a better career at Michigan than he did at Arkansas. At Arkansas he never quite seemed to take that next step.
