Kristin Andreassen performs her song "Fly," accompanied by Jefferson Hamer. From the album, KISS ME HELLO -- Kristin's solo release.
I saw this concert sponsored by the Institute of Musical Traditions on 11/3/08, and it was great! Be sure to catch her on tour. You can check her schedule on:

We've been seeking an artist who could fill the massive musical and emotional hole left by the loss of Eva Cassidy. Kristin's musical sensibilities and voice might possibly fill that bill. We'll have to keep an ear out for her in the future. We just love the Crayola song and your part in it is masterful. Keep up the good work.

She does have a pretty good voice--feminine, cool, not overly emotive/emotional, just a girl singing in a kind of rainy rural way.

This woman has the voice of angel. Smooth as silk and sweet to the ear. I stumbled across her Crayola song and was positively infected by it. Being a big fan of bluegrass and homespun acoustic music she fits right in... I'm off to search for an album.

Impressing both voice and the relaxed banjo. Hope the melody will stick to me for a while ...

Glad you enjoyed it. This was the first time Kristin and Jefferson had played together for their tour. Hadn't gotten a chance to practice, yet they sound great. Those two are what you call are REAL musicians.
