Captain Hammer's ready to put the heat on the Kroll. He's cornered one of their dreadnoughts, and if all goes according to plan, he can find the location of the Kroll's secret base. The scoundrels and ne'er-do-wells on the Warlock might not be the best comrades, but they're in this with you. Good thing you get to do all the heavy action.

Spaceship Warlock is surprisingly short: this is fairly close to the end of the game. If you haven't noticed already, a sizable chunk of the game involves running around and taking elevators. There's plenty of content, but it all moves quickly, even if the action parts are a bit numbing and occasionally laggy.

Anyone else wonder why the Kroll would transport their Overmind in an unaccompanied, understaffed ship?

  • I hated this part in the game. I always died inside the ship. Thanks for putting the whole game up, though, I finally get to see what happens!

  • @nannernanner Glad to! Isn't it weird how this game is only about an hour long but it was still tough to get through the whole thing?

  • I seem to remember thinking that Black Kroll with it's big gun was bugged. No matter how many times I killed one, another would just pop in right after the last one. I must have killed seven of them.

I don't remember if this was in the Asteroid or on the ship, but I always thought the death by Kroll was pretty scary. It would jump right at ya, knock your blaster from your hand and the ending animation would be the Kroll gloating over your body. The image of it moving back and forth was scary!

  • @Kalaida Once I finish up the playthrough (hopefully soon, maybe even this weekend! I keep getting sidetracked by things like money), I might go back and do a death montage reel because some of them are so imaginative. I never died by Kroll, but do you recall the Death in Stambul endings from the beginning where your brain ends up in a jar? Priceless.

  • Man- I haven't seen this game for at least 10 or more years... but it's amazing how much I remember. The brain is pretty incredible. Sometimes you wonder if you truly forget anything. Thank you for putting this together (w/o commentary! I get tired of lame comments made by some folks during these things). What a piece of nostalgia. Are the last bits going to be posted soon?

  • @jdyeakel81 Thanks. I've purposely avoided commentary for that reason. :)

I just had a transition back to college a few weeks ago, so I've been behind, but I'm currently playing through the last parts of the game a few times to figure out what to do so I can record. Expect the rest... soonish?
