Cold Turkey, Lennon song originally intended for Abbey Road but rejected. Released by Plastic Ono Band as a single in 1969. Clapton played lead on this song in the Toronto Rock and Revival Show and was asked to stay on but he declined the offer. He also plays some of the guitar work on the single

  • Great cover. It should have been a Beatle song and it would have been a classic rock tune like Revolution, Yer Blues, and Helter Skelter.

  • Thanks for the kudos. We feel this cover is WORTHY too! It just came together. Hadn't played it but one time before laying the track and it has a raw immediacy I think.

  • Haven't heard this tune in ages!! You guy's really did a solid job on this old Lennon classic! Thanks for the post!!

  • We did this on the first take. Hunter suggested the odd guitar work due to the lyrics. This turned out to be one of our favorites and really has a great beat with some 'open space'

  • This is great!

  • thanks for all the comments. My brother Paul Henry did the great vocals on this. We never played it together and this was the first time I tried the song. Just decided to lay this track down on a whim really. @horonziton: I believe I had an Alvarez strat going on this one switching between the pickups 'answering' to the vocals. I had a Behringer V-Amp for the effects. Hunter Brown laid down a strong beat and all came together really well to our surprise. Recording Engineer: John Bass

  • this is my favorite one so far...love the song and you guys did a GREAT job on this...really dig the guitars and the tone!...what set up were you using?...guitars sound great...cool solo at the end...recorded great as well...in a studio?

  • I liked what I just heard. That's what music is all about. Great cover and great video!
