Most of them don't know that they can get more than one note out of what is essentially a bugle. All the notes in the harmonic series are available -
C - G - upper C - upper E - upper G - upper Bb - double C and so on
Instead, they stick only to low C (or 10 000 people make it sound like that as most of them can't make the jump to G). if enough of them could reach E and G, you would end up with a C major chord - quite nice!
