What i do is do anything i think is right for me. I buy anykind of shirt i like(mostly video game logo's or movies, tv shows, etc.) I play video games and i don't give a crap about my look sure girls won't talk to me or ask me out, but i don't care. I didn't care if i never got a date because all the high school students think its cool to have a GF, but heres the thing. Your too early to understand true love. Enjoy your life before you get into this romance shit. Live life to the fullest.

And that's what I'm talking about. Why do all these kids in my age care about this crap? Why do I need to have Adidas or Nike shirts/pants/whatever?

Does it make any difference if I have an identical shirt? I might aswell just put a Nike sticker on it.

I mean, I do wear Nike shoes, because I like them, they look good and they are comfortable, but I could also wear anything else that is identical in quality.

Awesome video, the only thing I would add is that the superficial distraction of fashion is used by the powers that be and everyday people to avoid the tough choices we have to make as a society. It's much easier to buy an expensive pair of pants (for some) and feel good about looking good than it is to take on real issues like poverty, climate change, income inequality, the corporate media, etc.

I think unfortunately about American culture, the more it is called superficial, the more superficial it becomes.

It's like that kid who was laballed gay as a toddler - the more people called him gay, the gayer he got, until he was officially MSM. But for years he was being called gay, without even having MSM desires or thoughts - isn't that wrong?

Likewise, America in the 1950s - 1980s was hardly superficial, but rather struggling to probe issues about experiences in new perspectives.
