In President Barack Obama's speech at the 2011 Congressional Black Caucus dinner, he stressed that by working together we've achieved legislation such as payroll tax cuts, earned income tax credits, and child tax credits for working families. In addition, homeowners are now protected from predatory mortgage lenders and consumers now have the strongest consumer finance protection in history. Other successes include more affordable paths to college and higher education --particularly in Historically Black Colleges and Universities and community colleges.

President Obama shared these successes and the time it takes for progress to happen. He stressed that in the history of struggle, we've always had faith and know that we can't stop marching to keep widening the circle of opportunity for all. President Obama will press on for jobs, equality, and for the sake of all struggling families. As he says, "the future rewards those who press on", and he wants you to join him now:

We don't measure success in poll numbers or in dollars raised. We measure it in the number of people who own a piece of this campaign.

  • Ghaddafi did more for Africa than you have done for America. Also he didn't just talk. So instead of giving your people free college and housing like him you turn him over to some animals under a deceitful UN resolution and install a puppet government yet you were calling Mcain the third Bush term!? Sounds similar. Italy had a friendship treaty with Libya that they had to break to cooperate with the res and the U.N. had previously commended Libya's standards of living. You are...I dunno..I dont

  • Obama can say " stop complaining" to Black Americans because he knows that he can get away with it. He is our first black president, and black Americans are in a love affair with him. I mean 15 percent unemployment within the black commubity and he still has a 90 percent approval rating among black Americans.

  • President Obama, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You ARE a true inspiration. Instead of whining people should have started to call their reps long ago and give THEM a hard time by asking them what they vote for. You see, lobbyists don't sleep. For centuries they've been doing all the things the rest of America is so reluctant to do. Obama CAN't do it alone! Wake up, people!

  • Eloquent as usual, but when are you going to reduce the national debt and implement health service reform? 'Press on' , 'press on' You CAN do it!

  • I WOULD LOVE TO HUG HIM EVERYDAY AND BE A NURTURER FOR HIM

  • Well at least we've reclaimed the comments section, it used to be republicans all screaming RON PAUL 2012, that was annoying

  • No but do you really think Obama will save the country, it's just a Muslim spy sent by the Saudis in power, its purpose is to establish a new lifestyle in relation to the Qur'an, is this new lifestyle is the New World Order, the God of Muslims is just a Reptile Humanoids, that's why the Arabic script looks like snakes, Allah is a moon god, and therefore a God of the stars! So beware, as recent events such as the crisis éconimique, the Arab revolution, and the disasters land is no accident

  • INDIGNADOS Y DESESPERADOS!

a Tibetan yesterday 20 y.o. (Tenzin Wangmo-) set herself on fire in protest. in a world where we care not for our 'weak, which only Masons and businessmen have opportunities to speculate there democracy and freedom? where an American crisis drags other countries is legitimate? we are tired of unchecked capitalism, where there only freedom of movement for capital and not for work and people. we are tired of a crisis that promotes exploitation.

  • Obama 2012!!

  • GOOOD PRESIDENT
