Featuring Myron Miller on saxophone. Performed live at Café Lumen in Wiesbaden, Germany on July 29, 2009. When we play "Take Five", this becomes Myron's tune, simple as that. We've done this song hundreds of times and it takes on new perspectives with each performance. I must admit that with "Take Five" I'm one-half performer and the other half a willing spectator to the bundle of energy and emotion that comes out of Myrons horn next to me. I've witnessed some audiences totally lose control when he builds up to the peak of a solo during this tune; these are the moments that musicians live for! Of course, my function is to provide a foundation for him to fly over, and try to stay close enough to the fireworks to enjoy them without getting burned...
