News promo from Richmond, Virginia station WRIC, summer 1991. Promoting a segment called "For 55 Plus", hosted by late Richmond radio legend Alden Aaroe.
I remember Alden Aaroe fondly. Him and "Millard the Mallard", his character he did for the radio. My grandmother would listen to WRVA 1140 am, back before they switched their format to all talk and they would play a lot of big band and 50's music inbetween the talking heads' shows. He was a great personality and I still remember when he passed. Rest in peace, sir.
i hate that they consider 55 is senior citizen... Good ole Alden Aaroe.. I wonder what he would think of the disgrace that is WRVA today..
