  • Majnu. Excellent! I think trixapete misses the point. Such positions are really hard to crack with rooks still on the board. Capa had to work out a precise series of moves which finally reached the zugzwang. This is incredibly difficult. At most levels this would probably be a draw! Leaving the the g pawn en prix because of the tactic bringing the rook to g8 etc and using this tactic as part of his whole plan to win the f pawn is the mark of Capa's genious!

  • Ok, here I am here again. I think I see now what would happen, for example if: 1-...Rc3 2-Rd8,Ra3 3-Ke2,Rc3 or Rh3 then 4-Rd3 exchanging the rooks or allowing the king to penetrate the black field with conseqüêncies similar the actual game...
