A quick shot of my Trek bicycle (in the dark) equipped with two NiteRider Digital Patrol Tactical Police Systems (bicycle lights). I didn't test the siren for this video, but the bike has one. Only one of the DPs has a red/blue cover, the other is clear/clear.

  • how much was this?

  • depends on where you get them. you can find some older ones on ebay, often for $100-200 (condition is a factor).

i run with one steady and one flashing when i ride on the highway at night. its a life-saver, and you can actually see.

drivers flash their brights at you when the high-beams are activated - people confuse the headlights with a motorcycle's.

great for safety. worth the money if you ride at night.

  • these are bright enough to use during the daytime, too, by the way.

  • are you a cop/ do you have to be to buy red and blue lights?

  • Depends on where you live, for the most part. In some states, red and blue is used for firefighters or medics, not police. Where I'm from, red and blue is for police only.

Generally speaking, you can't buy them retail without proper certifications. You can get almost anything online, legal or not, if you know where to look. Some online retailers require certifications - most do not (they just want to make the sale).

  • meant to say: where i'm from, red and blue is for police only. where i currently live, i used red & blue as a medic with the fire department.

  • I've got ten PlanetBike Superflash lights and three Dinotte taillights on my bike.

  • The Nite Rider lights are extremely bright! And I've always wanted to get the Nite Rider police lights but they were just too expensive.. I remembered seeing them being featured prominently in the tv show Pacific Blue.. I ride a trek bike too btw, mine is the 3700...

  • lol 20 Bucks downtown at the bike shop

  • Usually u use a water bottle battery. U can buy them seperate or it comes with it. Depends on wat kind of package you buy

  • Hi. Nice Police led lights :). I am interested in police items and I maybe be a NYPD officer :) but I am only 18yrs old and doing college. Where can I buy them? I checked in ebay but it does not have the same as yours. I live in NYC I don't know if it would be legal in NY because the NYPD has only red and white lights. But anyway please reply me soon!!!

  • How are the lights powered? I'm getting a Axixtech police light for my bike, and i have no idea how to power it.
