Did you enjoy your spontaneous trip to stanley hotel? i went last year in febuary and loved it. no paranormal activity though, just loud drunks next door.

@Lavern4101 Yeah I loved it. I chose a perfect night b/c the place was empty. I also have an affinity for old hotels. This is my favorite hotel. I love Colorado as well. I used to live there several years ago, beautiful state with great people.

@shannontheguy Last year was my first time visiting Colorado and I fell in love. I live in Austin and I like my hometown but I plan on visiting Colorado every year from here on out. I just got back from Telluride, CO and that was nice but didnt quite have the same charm as Estes Park. I liked how dead the town was cause we went in Febuary and much of the twon closes down. I needed a quiet small town scenic get away and in Estes Park I got it.

@Lavern4101 wow that's awesome. I never got a chance to visit Telluride. I love Aspen but it's so expensive. I agree, Estes Park is a nice little charming town. The people were so nice. When I lived in Colorado Springs we used to go on weekend trips all through the state. We liked to explore ghost towns and take long 4x4 drives on rampart range road that runs through the rocky mountains.
