Hokusai's is a great, mythic painting of the precarious but exhilirating Human Condition, Homo sapiens prevailing in powerful, impersonal and beautiful-if-deadly Nature through skill, technology and daring: those puny fishing boats and the huddled fishermen. Burke's "tweak" is impertinent but instructive: Hokusai's wave isn't static but, in your imagination, moving, towering, beautiful and awful in the original. Burke's impulse is impelled by Hokusai's mastery.

you're pretty talented, good job dude. and all these people saying "i don't get it" are pretty dumb. what's there to get? it's a nice picture and he turned it into an animation. if you can't see it, you do not have artistic eyes.
