Thanks for the info man, I appreciate that. I have a request that you upload a video where you are recording or editing vicals on a tablet. Will appreciate that and all the best in your music. Keep up the good creative work. I like your objectivity and realism when talking about using tablets for recording, thanks again.

very cool

maybe it would, I also use a little M-audio box for recording podcasts and that works fine

it's true it's not too well made, but in the latest version (that's just beta right now) it lets you record from different sources at once. don't know if it'll be usable.. we'll see
do you think it would work in good enough quality to use a few simple USB sound cards instead of one big one like your Edirol?
( for example, using 4 "Speed-Link - UltraPortable Audio Card USB" )
Hi, nice vid. but, what recording software are you using?? is that cubase?

I was interested in seeing if you recorded any vocals using the tablet PC with all your USB gear, am considering purchasing the Gigabyte S1080 for recording, whats your take on this? do you think it will do the job? here are the specs of it;
Intel Atom Dual Core Processor N570(1.66GHz)
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium
10.1 Capacitive Multi-touch Panel 1024x600 with LED backlight
2GB DDRIII, 1 slot (Max 2GB)

@threesixfive0 It should be ok, the Atom processor may be a bit slow for when you do editing but it should be ok for recording

Hi there Ian, I enjoyed your vid. I have the opportunity to buy a 2nd hand tc1100 but am concerned about recording with it. Will it keep up with real instruments through a usb interface. Is it a reasonably fast processor? I'm worried about latency with the signal. I'm a guitar player and would be using 'Guitar Rig 3' software for effects and 'Tracktion 3' as multi-track recorder. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I it has the power if you don't use loads of plugins. It also depends on what audio interface you use. I had very low latency with the Edirol USB interface but I got some clicking when I started to rack up the number of tracks
