Tuffy

Video (actually Super-8 film) footage of Lloyd "Tuffy" Culp, a well-loved, if largely misunderstood, resident of Caledonia, ON in the years when I grew up there. The footage was shot in 1979. Tuffy passed away the same year.

I live in Caledonia now and my family always tell me stories about Tuffy

It is like watching days long past. I remember Tuffy well. He lived on the end of Haddington street. During that time there were only 2 houses on the entire street. Mine was the first just down the hill from where the street split and Tuffy lived at the very end of the street. He walked by my house each and every day to make his route through town to pick up whatever treasures he could find.

Thanks for posting this excellent video ... love the song too.  I grew up in Caledonia from l950 to 78 when we moved away. We have fond memories of Tuffy ... a truely unique and independent individual.
