Kiribati Village Life. Has it changed since 1978?

The commentary is from Ieremia Tabai. Watching this video, I get the sense that this life may be a thing of the past. I think nothing has changed in Kiribati, most people even on Tarawa still live like they have always done. South Tarawa has changed, some may say for the worse. But the backbone and spirit of Kiribati is in the outer islands. The culture, the spirit and the way I-Kiribati do things stems from them. The threat of Global Warming is not only about the islands sinking but the culture, people and spirit of Kiribati drowning also.
