Looks like Drew was wrong... this technology does NOT make it funnier. But, I admit it was interesting to see them try it. The technology is pretty cool.
What hurt most of all, though, may just have been the fact that this bit was just not funny. It had maybe 2 laughs in it.

I see why Ryan decided not to do this show. Takes away the fun in improv.

I actually found the animation detracted from the show. It was distracting and took the imagination out of the improv (from the viewers perspective anyway)
I find having to use your imagination to follow the improv makes it funnier.
