the movie must be done by fans,if it gets the holywood treatment it iwll be crap,they will water it down and turn it into something they just want to sell etc rama toys etc etc macdonalds you know the drill, No like alot of stories it must be done by us if anything

True. I read all the Rama series books back in junior high and I loved them. I guess I was hoping a movie would be made based on the first novel because it would be huge.

Wow. For a three minute short this is stupendous. I, too, hope this is an independent effort, like the Atlas Shrugged production. From the little I've read of the 'big hollywood' attempt at production The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress, they already have a screenwriter who knows nothing about science or fiction at all. He wants to make the magnetic accelerator launchers into a huge Ferris wheel that flings things off the Moon into Earth trajectory. Absurd. Let's hear it for the independents!

Man this is just incredible work. You did an amazing job. I'm just about to finish the 4th book in the series and I would love to see these made into a movie. Again, congrats on the work.

Nicely done, I am a huge fan of the books but I am tired of other movies ripping off Clarke's ideas. I think you have captured the imagination and the curiosity well. You gave us a little to wonder about but enough to make you wanting more. Excellent Job. I think a movie like this could have blockbuster potential.

I'm afraid that the thrill of entering Rama will diminish after a few minutes for the John Doe audience. Then some gunfight and lovely princesses might be necessary to keep their attention.
