Matchroom Series - Snooker met 8 kampioenen - Part 1

Fourth (and to the best of my knowledge last) part of a line of snooker videos from 1987-1988. I don't know whether this video coach was ever published elsewhere than Flanders.

The Matchroom players (Steve Davis, Jimmy White, Neal Foulds, Terry Griffiths, Cliff Thorburn, Dennis Taylor, Willie Thorne and Tony Meo) explain the basics of snooker (potting, cueing, side, tactics, breakbuilding and set pieces).

A few trickshots are played and the video ends with a frame between Taylor and Davis.

What actually happens if you pot a red ball and that the cue ball then rolls into another pot? do you then get 1 point and lose 4 our is it diffrent?

Good stuff, I like the analogy of the bridge thumb groove as a rifle sight, and the explanation of what happens when you grip the cue too tightly. I think that's why I can't do screw shots any more - cue ball jumps everytime...

cue reminds me of a rubiks cube lol,best cue was a cheap white single one i bought cheap(one piece),i was always trying blend with cues afterthat(3piece cues expensive ones then resorted to a single piece again) never caught any apart from a crappy snooker house cue,in the club reminds me of stephen hendry rolling his cue across the table,that suited him that one:)he must of had that against the radiator one night:)
