I've heard you get the best results if you till the ground first (rototiller, tiller pto attachment, etc.), and then go back and power rake. It loosens the rock and soil and allows the power rake to go deeper and windrow more rocks (dig them up from a deeper level).

how much does that attachment cost?

I am concerned about the depth the machine removes rocks. My rocks are bigger than a softball and smaller than a brick for the most part but I am making a GARDEN FOR VEGETABLES, ROOT VEGIES. I would like to go a little deeper than 2or 3 inches. WILL THIS BABY TAKE CARE OF ME?
THE rental agency wants almost 500 for a 3 day weekend, is it worth it for a GARDEN? JACK i AM LOOKING AT THE HARLEY RAKE ON A SKIDDER, SORRY, LOTS OF VIDEOS.

haha seriously. I was going to thatch my lawn this spring and was looking at some models to rent. I think this is not what i am looking for.
The Harley Rake will probably not clear out rock as deep as you will be tilling for gardening purposes, especially if the soil is heavy.
