POV (Jessica)
Well I asked. Laura sat there for a second before looking up. I GOT IN! she screamed. Awww thats wonderfull. I said getting up and giving her a hug. I cant wait! she said.
When do you leave? Nick asked from across the table. He sounded glum. Laura scanned the paper before saying, In a week. Whoa thats fast. Congrats Laura. He said before getting up and going upstairs. Whats wrong with him? Laura asked confused. Give him some time. Joe said. She nodded before going outside. Things are going to be different. I sighed. Yeah they are. Joe replied.
POV (Laura)
I felt happy at first for getting in but now seeing Nick sad like that made me depressed in a way. I fished around in my purse till I found my cell. I checked for new texts but there were none. I sighed before running a hand through my hair. I glanced up at the moon and felt alone for the first time in a year. I sat down on the steps and kept looking at the moon till I heard the door open behind me. Hey. Nick said sitting down. Hi.I replied. So boarding school huh? he said trying to sound happy. Yeah I guess so. I replied. Do you want to go? he asked. I thought I did. I said trailing off. Maybe this will change your mind. He said. I turned around to see him holding a ring out. Wh.. whats that. I whispered. Will you marry me? he whispered.
POV (Kevin)
Danielle was smiling as she stared at Jamie and Jayden who were making gurgling sounds in their play pin. So.. Joe said looking up. Jessica sighed, Maybe we should talk to Laura. No leave it alone. Joe said quietly. Alright. Jessica said sitting back down. Well Danielle said looking up. I gave her a quizzical look. Should we tell them now or wait? she asked me. Tell us what? Jessica asked. I nodded before looking at Joe and Jessica. Were engaged! Danielle said holding out her hand. Oh my god since when!? Jessica screamed as she ran over and hugged Danielle. Last night. I said. Joe smiled at me. Things were looking up.
