The Eve Of The Tripods (Re:Ti:Ra-Tri3-Tripods Theme Remix)

This is my own cover version of Jeff Wayne's "The Eve Of The War", from The Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds.

It was inspired by tripodsmovie's posting of "Ti:Ra - Tri3 - Tripods Theme Remix"
The remix tripodsmovie posted sounds very "War Of The Worlds" influenced and, of course, "The War Of The Worlds" influence on the TV programme, the Tripods itself is obvious!

This is actually an unfinished, unpolished preview of my cover/medley "The Eve Of The Tripods".
Posting unfinished, unperfected work is something that I normally never do, but this is coming on so well that I thought I'd let you hear it.

This is not a remix, nor a mash up.
It is a complete re-working of "The Eve Of The War" with a little of "The Tripods" theme thrown in..
It was performed and programmed entirely by me. I hope you enjoy it! :)

Nice! Your Tripods theme is good too! Get some more kick in there and a mind melting gated snare! Also watch your compression on your master tracks. You'll be better off with a limiter, as it'll kill the sudden sink in volume as the track increases in volume. Nice programming!

Thanks. I agree... the snare has got to be more epic than the kick. :P

I agree, also, that a limiter is better than a compressor at the final mixdown. The thing is, I didn't use a compressor on the master track... even the original video doesn't sound like this. It sounds like I used a dynamic compressor on the video here on YouTube but I didn't! :/

Ah! Then YouTube has probably added the compression! Sorry about that, I should have guessed that the website might effect the final track. I'll have to upload my version of Forever Autumn! I'll let you know when it is uploaded!;-)

Yes! Just listened to it. Very cool indeed!! I love those chip sounds! Very well programmed too. My mate programmed some Pet Shop Boys tracks onto an old Spectrum 128 years ago! It's all great fun!!
