Part 4. A commentary by members of WatchmenComicMovie.com's forum (members TheMovieDude and AYBGerrardo, and moderator Curiosity Inc.) for the mockumentary Under the Hood.
If you have the Black Freighter DVD, play UtH simultaneously with this. With the added video and stills for this upload, owning the disc (while preferable) isn't at all necessary. Just sit back and enjoy :)

  • You did a great job, guys, really really great. Spot-on commentary!

  • I think the reason why the "I don't care who saves me" philosophy wasn't addressed in the original graphic novel is because Moore wasn't trying to revitalize the concept of superheroes but to break them down into basic wish-fulfilment elements combined with challenging their existence as positive role models. The Comedian & Ozymandias are classic examples of the good guy/bad guy line crossed as well as the alienation of Dr. Manhattan & Rorschach and the vigilanteism of Nite Owl II & Silk Spectre
