Catalonia National Anthem (english subtitles)

"Els Segadors" (The Reapers) is the official national anthem of Catalonia. This hymn is sung by the Catalans that love their land, culture, language and history. Also it is a symbol of the desire to free themselves from the Spanish domination and get the freedom.

Sóc un castellà que va néixer i es va criar a Barcelona. Personalment, crec que Catalunya ha de romandre com una comunitat autònoma d'Espanya, però si arriben a ser independents, no m'importaria. Visca Espanya i Catalunya! Els Segadors és un himne bonic.

S'ha demostrat que no podem seguir com a autonomia i Espanya no està disposada a sentir parlar d'un Estat federal.

20.000 milions d'euros (10% del PIB català) se'n van a Madrid i no tornen. Per molt que et sentis vinculat a Espanya, hi haurà un dia que diràs prou, perquè voldràs que els teus fills siguin ciutadans de primera i això només s'aconseguirà en un Estat Català.

@Dilaviamaniac prefiero la opinión de que tienen un origen común, que no es ni castellano ni catalán, sino una lengua primitiva, mezcla de ibero, visigodo y latin. y que surgen variantes dialectales diferentes, que se transforman en distintas lenguas, asi que castellano y ctalán son mal hablados  lengua-primitiva.

@droggi100 Esperad, que acaba de hablar un lingüista. ¿Sabias que hace poco se hizo un estudio diciendo que el origen de tu tan preciado castellano era el catalán? El estudio se dice llamar "Der Ursprung des Spanischen" realizado por el RomanistischeAbteilung de la Universidad de Friburgo. (aquí el estudio no lo podrían realizar, antes los encarcelarían a todos)

Vaya... ahora serà que el dialecto es el castellano, el "mal hablado" catalán.

Sorry but this sounds more like a "battle cry" rather than and anthem. An anthem is suppose to represent pride in your country and what it has achieved... sure you will add something that speaks to past trials and patriotism but this entire thing is about what you will do to the enemy. But if this is what Catalonia is all about at the time it was written well then I guess it is very appropriate.

JO SI, i les nostres EXPORTACIONS depenen dels compradors espanyols , de fet catalunya rep de espanya bastant mes de el que tindria en una hipotetica independencia ( que no arribara) . Enquestes?
