Miss America 2010 Crowning

Miss America 2010, the 89th Miss America pageant, was held at the Theater for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on January 30, 2010. Miss America 2009, Katie Stam from Indiana, crowned her successor at the end of the event, Caressa Cameron from Virginia. Contestants from all 50 states along with District of Columbia, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico competed for the prestigious title. The pageant was broadcast live on TLC. This edition was the 5th year that Las Vegas hosted the pageant. The semifinalists competed in swimsuit, evening gown, talent, and the final interview. The 4 runner-ups were announced first, followed by the new Miss America winner.

The judging is based on several categories: Accomplishment in life, academics, community service, beauty, inside & out, morality. I need someone I can connect with to make my heart sing someone once said there is someone for everyone and that's what matters but it makes beauty pageants a bit well uninteresting and I can understand she won she looks like the best girl but something is missing, to make me happy but I wish her the best and hope her year is amazing one that she comes back stronger more rooted that it's been a blessing for her, in every way, possible v_v''

it's a beauty pageant as a white person I can say I do not feel she is beautiful because I'm intelligent I mean more intelligent than what I see here and I would feel alone around a person that did not understand me was as smart so even if I can see she's a good girl and a worthy winner for me she can not be most beautiful I need someone I can connect with to feel they are beautiful but I will say she looks like an incredibly nice girl and I am happy she won but I yearn for another kind of woman
