Season 6, Episode 20 Part 1

Hosted by Leonard Nimoy and broadcast weekly from 1976 to 1982, In Search Of... is the greatest mystery documentary show ever. I grew up watching this show, enjoying the spine-tingling presentation of quasi-fact and dramatic synthesizer-heavy music of Rinder and Lewis.

I am not selling this material, neither am I interested in buying bootlegs. It is currently commercially unavailable, so I am joining with others to make evaluation of this excellent series possible.

Check my subscriptions to find users with more episodes, and drop me a note if you have posted any "new" ones. Thanks for watching!

  • I wonder if he wore that outfit in bed.

  • @asubjectiveopinion Totally agree, In Search Of should never have contacted this vicious Hitler apologist. What's worse is, In Search Of reflects that holocaust denying thug's whitewashed conclusion Hitler was a decent, upstanding guy who was betrayed by cowardly and faithless generals - another replay of the dolchstoss myth, a tried and true way of evading responsibility.

In reality, by the time of the bunker, the war was lost and the generals were right, and Hitler was a lunatic.

  • @asubjectiveopinion Not at all. Like any professional researcher should do, I read all available material and make my judgements based on facts rather than being swayed by emotional whims. It's my considered opinion that the vast majority of the information compiled by David Irving over the years is reliable. Like any other historian, part of what he puts forward is colored by personal biases, but then that is just as true of others, such as Trevor-Roper, Liddell Hart or Shirer.

  • @rbilleaud

    Apologist cunt.

  • @asubjectiveopinion I have done a great deal of research on David Irving's work and find him to be generally reliable. Throwing away all of his work solely on the basis of his holocaust denial (which is misnomer since he never denied that it took place - only its scale and who knew what and when) is foolish. I cannot see how his analysis of Eva Braun - which I believe to be essentially correct based on the work of other historians - is affected by whatever views he holds on the holocaust.

  • This documentary repeats the myth that the effects of the July 20th 1944 attack left Hitler partially paralyzed. In truth, the results of that assassination attempt were purely superficial. The declining health of Hitler has been ascribed by experts to the effects of Dr. Morrell's drugs which were actually poisonous when administered in doses above the prescribed dosage - which they regularly were, and possibly to the effects of Parkinson's disease, though it never has been proved that he had it

  • Oh dear, what a shame that they chose notorious holocaust-denier David Irving as an "expert".

I bet this one won't get many repeats.

  • @SuperSFio

    The KGB wasn't formed until 1954 conspiracy-tard.

  • Love is blind. Too bad she fell in love with a monster. :(
