I would love to try living in NY, and I would enjoy sharing with roommates. I currently live in Costa Rica and rent a house with four bedrooms, three of which I have rented to people from the U.S., Canada, Gerrmany, and all over Central and South America. It's been one of the best parts of living here.

I live in NYC now, Brooklyn, where there is more space and I don't have to worry about not hearing birds, but, it isn't enough nature for me. I need to find some good nature runs like what you showed because I am having nature withdrawals.

You couldn't pay ME to live in NY. Just watching this video, I feel claustrophobic, like I can't breathe. Literally. I'm from Louisiana, where the country is always near. I live in Dallas now, in a small suburb, and I'm still not adjusted, after almost 10 years. Would love to visit NYC though, it's appeal isn't lost on me. Just wouldn't live there.

The constant surprises and finding new places and things is a huge appeal of NYC to me. The tiny, cramped spaces, not so much. Very curious for your large and of course shared apartment what was one share of the rent? With or without utilities?

funny how i live in the capital of canada and i have everything new york has. but i take a 15 minute car ride and im in the country side . ahhh canada :)
@09comet If only you knew how many stories I have related to that no trespassing sign. One of the reasons our rent was so low was because we had a 90-year-old landlady who lived on the bottom floor and monitored our movements in/out and around the apartment for the entire 5 years I lived there. She wrote the sign, as well as a long list of rules for living there.

@kirstendirksen is it that bad? all the rules and stuff? at least i live in queens. not as crowded.

@excalipoor I have since moved our, and the landlady died, but when I lived there the rules didn't really bother most of the time. And I actually enjoyed talking with our landlady about life in Manhattan back when Staten Island was "the country".
