Eran Davidson is Managing Partner and CEO of Hasso Plattner Ventures (HPV), founded in 2005 in the German city of Potsdam. An entrepreneur himself, Davidson has worked as an early stage investor in Israel for almost 12 years. HPV’s mission is to „bring back the entrepreneurial spirit back to Germany“ by taking local talented people and helping them to become globally successful. According to Eran Davidson, this mission can be accomplished by „founding 20 very good companies and setting an example for all the others“. HPV’s current portfolio comprises companies like DaTango, Smeet, D-Labs and 10 other highly innovative IT companies. HPV supports its companies with product design, human resources, marketing advice and other professional services: „When we identify a great entrepreneur, we will back him up in almost anything he wants to do.
