The Spanish Lake trail is one of a handful of OHV routes that lie within the Sierra National Forest. About 32 miles east of the Town of Shaver Lake and 5 miles south of the Wishon Reservoir dam, the Spanish route is rated more difficult due to its steep rocky climbs. Be aware that this is a green sticker only area and spark arrestors are required. While only 5 miles long, the trail is well worth the effort that results in excellent views of the sierras and is a perfect day trip.
