FFXIV - Deepvoid Slave (Melee style!) - Kupo Linkshell, Kashuan

Group set up was GLA/PUG/PUG/MRD/LNC/ARC/CON/THM

I should point ou that this is old now, but our basic strat is still the same if we go in melee. Key differences are that now the tank has more confidence on ogre (this was our 3rd attemt) we basically go all out from the minute he is up top, as opposed to this video, you can see the melee doesn't do much but auto attack for the first 50% or so.

Running from Inferno drop is a waste of your time. We we trying to do this on this fight, but it's not worth it, I doubt you will suceed on a predictable scale. Keep him paralyzed as much as possible, have the tank use paralyzing potions on ogre, THM if you got it and have PUG use disabling knuckles if they got them, the proc rate is not good, but it all helps. If he is paralyzed the whole fight, you'll mostly have no problem, you might eat it once or so. As a melee you have to heal yourself and basically do your best to keep your HP @2000+. Healing yourself as well as beating on his arse will get your hate levels up, so get the tank to accomplice you when you need and you're actually doing the tank a favour as well as your healers.

After that it's cake, any setup can beat ogre quickly and cleanly. Well, alright, minimum 2 mages and a gla, we got it to 50% with a pug tank once, but it didn't end pretty!
