  • Ist estnisch schwer? Mich interessiert die sprache, was bedeutet eigentlich der bandname?

Is Estonian difficult to learn? I am interested in this languade, what is the meaning of their name?

    please answer me.

  • Estonian is considered to be rather difficult to learn.

The name of the band (Metsatöll) is synonym for the wolf since the ancient times.

  • @johanpeturdam well i need then german friend i think, but here in finland i have met german just once,i mean person who i talk to,she was odd cos normally germans dont speak english and she speak better than me=)

  • @deimuader I guess, that how difficult learning Estonian is depends on where u are from.. I'm from Finland so for me it would be considerably easier for those that live in China or so..

  • @waffenestland Only in school? Well, then it'll take longer. The only true way to learn a language, is not passive school learning, but usage, usage, usage, exposure, exposure, usage, exposure and some more usage. Thus, you won't really learn it until u actually use it, and not just listen to it. And don't worry, when you begin using it, and expose yourself to it, u'll figure it out. So u need to do more than just learn it in school. Use it, don't just listen. Did I mention u should use it?

  • @johanpeturdam i learn germany 1 year in school but still i dont undersatnd one shit even i listen much german made music, one thing is very odd i cant make is there some logic how germans use der ,das and die?,like der alte and die sturmgewehr and das auto

  • @deimuader Es gibt ziemlich viele Wörter Niederdeutscher Ursprung im estnischen, waß er ein wenig leichter macht die Sprache zu lernen. Daneben ist die grammatikale Beugung sehr strukturell.

  • @waffenestland Sure. "The logic of the Estonian language is a bit different than that of the Germanic ones... for instance, there are no prepositions, but in place of this there are 14 cases. However, I do not think that Finnic languages, to which Estonian belongs, are that difficult... you only need time and opportunity to learn them. :)"

  • @johanpeturdam can you translate your message?i dont unterstand much germany but you talk about prepostioners and finnish and estonian language differenses,i speak bot of them, well, better finnish than estonia

  • @deimuader Die Logik der estnischer Sprache ist ein bisschen anders als die Germanische... z.B. gibt es keine Präpositionen, aber statt dessen hat Estnisch 14 Kasus. Ich denke aber nicht, dass die Finnische Sprachen, zu dem Estnisch gehört, so schwer sind... man braucht nur Zeit und Möglichkeit sie zu lernen :)

  • Fantastic song. Saw them live 2009? at helsinki. Best estonian band I've heard!

    Hail from finland!

  • Hails from Galicia!
