Director for Global Foresight + Innovation at Arup, Chris H. Luebkeman, talks about how the complexity of the challenges facing our world today provides unique opportunities for designers and design thinking. Change is constant; the context of change is forever variable and this is where the designer, with an open mind and heart, will create and enable solutions for our sustainable future.

Chris H. Luebkeman is in charge of developing future projects on sustainability and innovation at Arup and is focused on finding ways to integrate global social changes efficiently into global business strategies.

This talk was held at the Danish Design Centres conference 'CHALLENGE SOCIETY: design. business. future.' on the 12th of April 2011. The conference highlighted the use of design solutions in both the private and public sectors in response to future societal challenges.
