would Texas have won if McCoy had not gotten hurt? A redshirt freshman in the BCS national title game is just not going to bring the chemistry that Colt McCoy would. Texas dropped too many passes and one very important one in the end zone that would have been a TD. So, regardless of all the hindsight talk, Alabama wins and they are the National Champions. Sabin is a good coach but Mack Brown is better. With a young qb, at the end of the game had a chace to win.
