  • Hi, I love your videos. So original and homely. I was wondering do you chill those beautiful cakes that you do before applying the fondant and also, how long would I need to wait for the roses to dry before applying them to my fondant cake surface? Thank you so much!!

  • thanks ! i chill the cakes before applying fondant. the roses...i wait til they have set in that shape... to be safe... a couple of hours sometimes to overnight - and they are real hard.... hope that helps!

  • Thank you so much for your easy fondant roses. I mad my first fondant cake for thanksgiving and because of you I was able to add beautiful roses in differnt shades of orange on a chocolate fondant base. It came out spectacular!!. Once again thank you . Are there any other flowers you can do with fondant? let me know ..Thanks!

  • yay Thanks so much ! you can make almost any flower with gumpaste... use gumpaste not fondant... it is easier and better to use gumpaste. i think i did this video before i discovered gumpaste. gumpaste is just a modelling version of fondant. you can turn fondant into gumpaste by adding tylose powder .

  • Thank you so much. My instructor will kill me, but it's better than the Wilton method. She said our last project will show who is a hobbist versus a professional. of course, as a hobbist, I have to show otherwise. Thank you!

  • @crtconsu

  • I love this tutorial!! I've always thought these were so cool but every other tutorial I've seen onhow to make the edible flowers they use cutters or fancy tools and stuff! All I need for this is a plastic bag check! Fingers? How would I be typing? Check!! Fondant? CHECK!!! I love this tutorial it is so awesome that you! I can't wait to surprise my friends!! :D :)

  • I love the way you don't use all these fancy tools, just your finger some fondant and a plastic bag, thank you so much for this tutorial.
