Based on Stephen King's 1986 bestseller, 'IT', was made into a movie starring Harry Anderson. Annete O'Toole, and Tim Curry.
In this clip, Pennywise attracts his first victim, Georgie.

I've made several connections...
As explained in the novel, "It" is an entity of evil.
"It" appears every 26-27 years.
The latter part of the novel is set in 1985.
1985+27=2012
A great catastrophe is supposed to happen in 2012

When I was his age....there was NO fucking way I'd risk talking to a deranged clown living in a sewer just to get back a paper toy that can be duplicated in like 10 minutes back home.
Fuck...that.....noise.
