hard work and genes... yeah... Carlin must have skipped the Sociology class in college. While genetics has a very small influence in behavior, having a mind set to be a hard worker is the result of socialization.

Bill Maher is more of a direct descendant of Carlin's line of comedy than Jon Stewart.

To be honest, if you watch The Daily Show regularly you'll see Jon tear into politicians or the other major offenders pretty viciously at least one segment a week. I think Carlin made a good call at the end of the video.
