Top Comments

  • Not bad at all for a car down 120 HP, with little weight advantage.

  • The New (2010) GT3 doesn't have PDK.

They have plans to put it on the 997.2 Turbo though

  • @m5boarddotcom could have been referring to another video.

  • @paikmendez uhhhh the weight increase is so minimal it doesn't even matter. These PDK transmission can upshit and downshift faster than people can do manually.

If you've never seen a PDK turbo launch compared to a manually launched turbo, the difference is quite drastic.

  • @m5boarddotcom that's why i love porsche

  • 911 Turbo S PDK ;)

  • mad cars!

  • something is not right..the m3 e 92 was even with this lambo up to some point..

  • yeah but the PDK is 22 pounds lighter than the previous porsche tiptronic transmission so its actually lighter than the previous 997.1

  • all ready did

  • It adds 30Kgs on a 911 but it is an option, you take it only if you want! and on a GT3, you have only a manual gearbox, Porsche will never forget purists....

  • Everybody is like..."PDK this and PDK that!" Has anyone forgotten that a double clutch system adds horrid weight to those ultra fast upshifts? Like in the audi s4 of yesteryear when it first became a v8. Yeah it's trick technology but what happened to the purists who shift by themselves? Nonetheless, kudos to the C2S for its outstanding performance from a flat6. Porsche is definitely on their game. The styling is subdued but nostalgically soul stirring at the same time.
