This is the one I remember seeing as a kid - either this, or the version they performed on Ed Sullivan. I still remembered "Is this a slugger I see before me?", which was edited out of the later, colour version. So funny - Wayne and Shuster aren't that well known to the public outside Canada, but it's interesting how many comedians will mention them as an influence on their work. Their timing was legendary.

I've only heard this skit on radio so it was terrific to see it performed on tv. Wayne and Shuster are incomparable. This skit belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame!

They eventually recreated this sketch on "THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW" in the U.S. a year later, and were featured on Ed's Sunday night CBS variety series several times a year through the late '60s...
