Wife and I do some shopping at a thrift store in Flagstaff, Az. I buy at bargain prices a lot of pieces made of brass and most of it comes from India. Most of the pieces are *keepers* and we keep them because they add to the home.
@4774patrick That's what I love about brass pieces... Investment if you keep them while enjoying them in the home. I put them on Ebay 3 times the amount of brass and enjoy looking at them until they sell =) And if it ever breaks or you do not want it and can't sell it - SCRAP it =)
I worked in a scrap yard and one time they brought in a buffet table with all the pans. Stainless steel that stuff was still good best they were square and I hate soring round bowls in the frige when it is square. I got them for around $15 had a boat load of pans that could go from frige to stove and stored one inside the other easily. Wendys cooks their chili in a SS pot very large one sometimes they used the large square pans to cook the meat down in. We toss 2much. Ron Paul 2012
