This is a complete list of the organ tracks played in the "Fairground Organ" loop played by Merry-Go-Rounds and Carousels in Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 & 2.

These tracks were originally recorded in 1976 by the C.J. Mead Organisation, from a Voigt Model 35 69-Keyless Street/Band Organ at Bressingham Steam Museum, Norfolk. Called the Bressingham Voigt, it remained there for many years, but was eventually sold and now performs in the Netherlands. The record was owned by Chris Sawyer's father, and it's tracks were used in both RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 & 2. From what I understand, all of these songs are original arrangements from the Ruth Fair Organ Company.

Each of these eleven videos contain one of the songs, are numbered in the order they appeared in in-game lists and on the original LP, with the name of the song, as well as it's original writer.

#1: Children of the Regiment (Die Regimentskinder Marsch) [Julius Fucik]
#2: Heken's Serenade [John Heyken]
#3: In Continental Mood [Unknown]
#4: Wedding Journey [Traditional]
#5: Tales from the Vienna Woods [Johann Strauss]
#6: Slavonic Dance [Traditional]
#7: Das Alpenhorn [Traditional]
#8: The Blond Sailor [Traditional]
#9: Poet & Peasant Overture [Franz van Suppe]
#10: Waltz Medley [Johann Strauss]
#11: Bella Bella Bimba [Traditional]

  • Where did you get the CD?

  • @gaspen100 I ripped the tracks directly from the game, but the LP can be found for sale from various auction sites like eBay. Hope that helps.

  • Merry-Go-Round 1 is really good value!

  • "Guest 849 is angry and can't find the exit!"

What do I do? I trap him in a 2x2 cement square and build a bathroom...that charges $100.00.

  • @tregnier279 You don't need to rip. All the music tracks from Roller Coaster II are in the game's folder as .dat files. I also extracted all of them to record a CD some years ago, but didn't recorded it yet. I used them replacing the music files of Roller Coaster 3.

And thank you for sharing these fantastic fairground organ recordings. I didn't know they were from Ruth Company.

  • I got bored with the game eventually, but will always love the Merry-go-round music!

  • @TheStormchaser12 What about roller coaster 1?

  • I used to play this, then I lost it. Then there was Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. But I STILL think Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 is better with the music and theme park recreations. I would always go to Six Flags Over Texas. Since I live in Texas.

  • 1 person created Thrillville.

  • @omzzzzz Are you a wizard? You read my mind on how I would do it too :O

  • @tregnier279

You got these directly from a storebought CD installation of Rollercoaster Tycoon 2?

I've looked in the files and cannot find it. If you did, could you tell me the specific location?

    Thanks!

  • @LightcycleChampion yes the game is so cool

  • I love this song! well, this version that is....
