Well, that's news to me. I hope they do because it would be great.
If they don't it's still not so bad because anyone who wants to can play it anyway.
I've been playing it and I think it's great.

They're working on getting the licenses to release it in the US.
People should follow the news more before they post about info they think they know about.

I'm not so sure. As you can see, the game is aimed squarely at Japanese people. Maybe they'd feel uneasy releasing the game to a population who might not know what Tatsunoko even is.
It would be a good thing if it was released outside Japan for us, but if it doesn't, there's always homebrew so you can play region free.
