Carole Cook, who will be appearing April 2, 2011 performing numbers from 42nd Street, talks about the stage and S.T.A.G.E. For more information about the show benefiting AIDS Project Los Angeles, visit www.stagela.com or www.apla.org
I knew Russell... One of the "greatest characters" that I have met in my lifetime. Carole arranged Russell's entire funeral; I remember that it was "faabulous", and Michael Crawford sang "Music Of the Night" (Russell wanted Carole to sing, "I'm Still Here"; I remember Carole quipping, "well, that seems hardly appropriate..."
Thank you to Carole; I can think of no one else on the West Coast who has done as much AIDS organizations... Carole is a national treasure!
I would love to get in touch with Carole as I have an old picture of Russell Smith (aka Todd) from back in the 80's. He and I picked up Carole and her husband and took them to lunch when she was performing in Dallas back in the 80's. If anyone knows her email, please post. Thanks.Jim

I had the incredible opportunity to see Carole perform last year here in Sacramento with Carol Channing - AMAZING!
