I agree with Frank. If you are going to add a qualifier, you should make a false one. like 'just an oridinary dollar bill' or something instead of 'no strings'. That puts the idea in their head that perhaps there is a spring in the dollar or something. you could also do a switch and hand them another dollar after the trick to examine.
