This is quite nice. The song is "Katariina", the opening track on Värttinä's album "Aitara" (1994). It is a stunning album full of astounding music and intriguing lyrics based on traditions of Finnish, Karelian and other Finno-Ugric people - everyone in Finland should own it, as well as every other of their 10 studio albums so far, "Miero" from 2006 is the latest. Search the YouTube, you would be surprised by the width, depth and general quality of their material.

MIkä meiän MInjalla, mikä meiän Minjalla? :D
Minja is a girl I know - "Mikä meiän MInjalla?"= "What's up with our MInja?"
I bet this isn't the right lyric for the song :D

That's Finnish language, Karelian dialect, not Saami, not Karelian language.

kinda funny, sound comes from bad quality, but regon some parts of it, well it don't come quite right but it is awesome some sing old finnish songs even blurry :)

sounds like somethings sped up or backwards cause it sounds like a song from varttina =O
I thought it was cute. Varttina is always great and the fat dancing chicks seemed likable.

We're darn likable. Well...most of us. Except we'd prefer a more PC term than fat, you know? LOL

It was a project for a college class, and yes, it was meant as more of a joke than anything. "Numa Numa" was all the rage at the time, I had this song laying around from an old IB exam and figured what the heck? Besides, we didn't have cable and sometimes you have to find interesting ways to entertain yourself.
