This is unscientific, the whole event occurs in early childhood, asking teenage girls if they want penises when they've had many years to reconcile these feelings that aren't even concrete memories when they occur is not an accurate examination of psychosexual development.

Also, Freud was not a sexist as radical feminists would say, he implies that the same thing happens in boys but couldn't be overt about it and sully his reputation in his society. some level headed feminists acknowledge this.

This woman I once knew told me: "There really are women like that...who have penis envy. They envy men and their physical prowess and power in society..." There you have it..from a woman herself. But women tend to be dishonest and would never admit it.They have trouble communicating their true feelings to men, and prefer sharing their most intimate secrets with their women friends.They love to bash their men behind their backs, but how they hate it when men fire back. I'm a straight guy and I love my penis. It and I have been on many memorable adventures together. But, it requires so much protection, and is so vulnerable. I feel that having a vagina would be much more convenient.

@starwars34 Elephants have bigger brains than people. Does that make them smarter? For that matter, many bird species are as smart as human toddlers, with a fraction of the brain size. The brain of a woman may be smaller than that of a man, but it's wired differently (read: better), and less likely to be dominated by a thing in their pants.

But all the females are denying having penis envy because they failed to consciously yearn for a penis, which goes against Freud's proposal that penis envy is unconscious, so in all no woman can currently say that she never had penis envy. That is what I meant.
